"Several months ago, Crista sent out an email asking the XTEAM parents to write thoughts about XTEAM for the purpose of posting them on the website. Thinking this was a simple enough request was a mistake. In writing one thought, several began to flow, which made it impossible. I started out like all the rest of the parents telling what an invaluable experience these past two years have been for Celita. How XTEAM has given her focus, friendship and incredible role models. Then I began to think of why we joined XTEAM in the first place. Was it to gain focus, friendship and incredible role models for Celita? No, it was just to improve Celita's lacrosse game. We completely bought the line, 'Get Better, Faster'. Little did we know at the time what ALL would get better, faster in Celita's life.

Simply put, we paid for lacrosse lessons...we received life lessons. We paid for lacrosse coaching...we received champions for our girls. We paid for Celita to be a member on a lacrosse team...she became a member of a family. The XTEAM family.

As for Crista & Gretchen, they made it clear to us when they stated, 'We will pave the road...you will drive the car'. Trusting the direction the road was leading to was not always easy. Yet, we did trust. Our interpretation of XTEAM's mission statement was that more than anything else, Crista & Gretchen wanted to build & support our girls. To help them to feel Bigger & Better, on and off the lacrosse field. I did witness the success of this mission with most of the XTeamers. It was an amazing sight to see.

To trust the guidance of Crista & Gretchen was one of the best decisions we have ever made."

FAQ: Does winning matter?

ANSWER: HECK NO! Despite losing the majority of her games during the Champions Cup and Capitol Cup, Sam received emails from DIV l, ll and lll coaches. She had a blast and her confidence is soaring!

While touring a college recently, the lax coach told my husband and me that she likes recruiting players from XTEAM because Crista and Gretchen get the girls to focus on picking the school for the academics first. Coaches are looking for hard-working students who also happen to be great lacrosse players.

I think XTEAM is a great opportunity for girls to play lacrosse at a higher level, especially for those that don't have it in their area. The coaches and tournaments are sooo much fun and the experience you get is indescribable. It's the best team I've ever been on.

I had the best time I'd ever had at the Xperience. The staff was incredible. They gave so much feedback it was amazing! For the first time in my life, when I came off the field, I had two or three coaches talking to me about how I was playing and tips to help me improve. It was remarkable! Crista, Gretchen, Cory, and the rest of the staff know so much about this game and they give you so much advice and input that you grow as a player so fast. All you have to do is listen to everything they say and you will get so much better as a player. They also care about you as a person, which is different from all the other club teams out there. They really want to see you succeed not only as a laxer but as a person. That is why Xteam is the best club team. Doing the Xperience was the best thing I could have done. I learned so much and I had the best time doing it. I made so many friends--not just players but the staff as well. I would recommend the Xperience to all fellow laxers because it really is a great experience. Thank you to all the staff that made it possible.
