BOUNCE COMMUNITY PROJECTS

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Kari Morrison, our beloved Bounce coach, is asking for cards/letters for her brother John over the holidays who has recently been deployed to Afghanistan. John left shortly after Thanksgiving and will be working in Afghanistan flying for the Air Force Special Forces. This is John’s second tour. His previous tour was in Iraq. We would appreciate if any of you could take the time to send John and the service men & women that he works with a card or letter of appreciation. Thanks for your support.

SAY THANKS TO SERVICE MEN & WOMEN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
If you go to this web site www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services!

GRETCHEN GOES THE DISTANCE!
Over the past few months, our beloved coach, mentor, administrator and Director of Programs, Gretchen Lasda, has been training for the Marine Corps Marathon. On October 26, 2008, she ran 26.2 miles through the city of Washington, D.C. to help raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.

A BRIEF LIL’ Q&A with GRETCHEN in BROOKLYN
WHAT IS THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT?
The WWP is a non-profit organization that seeks to assist the men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME INVOLVED?
After looking through their website and talking with someone from the organizationabout the types of programs that they offer, I wanted to do everything that I could to make sure even more people knew about the WWP. The Marine Corps Marathon is the perfect opportunity to help raise awareness for this incredible organization.

SO, WHAT CAN OUR MEMBERS DO TO HELP?
There are several things that players and parents can do!

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to the following community project supporters:
